Health and Knowledge

Great Health is a Commodity you can't afford to Ignore

I will write a book about the parallel ways in which nature and people behave. For example someone says that organic food, supplements, cars, etc are too expensive. Yet, those same people find the way to pay for something equally or more expensive because they consider it more important or inevitable.

I feel that my health is among the most important things that I can invest my time and money on. Therefore, I'm willing to pay the relative high cost of organic foods, supplements, purified air and water, etc. Others feel that having fun by buying tickets to a theme park or buying a plasma tv is more important. In fact, because of the ease in getting deals that require no payment for as long as two years people believe that they're being smart in making an investment of a few thousand dollars that will benefit them for years. Why stop there, how about, buying furniture, a house, a car, a two week safari, a cruise, etc?

Soon the physical exam comes up with sobering information; high blood pressure, the bad cholesterol is too high or the good is too low, bone loss, weak heart, etc. At this point we are prescribed medicines (drugs, etc) and get recommendations to take action to try to reverse the effects of our normal habits: reduce fats, exercise, sleep, reduce sweets, more fruit, vegetables, and of course we dread it already.

But here's the ironic fact: We spend money on fast food, expensive restaurants, extravagant salads, stakes, and other non-edible goodies creating this great deficit on one of our most important assets.

And there's more, our response is either shock because we thought we were doing a good job good with our current lifestyle. Or we simply qualify the results as a natural result due to hereditary make-up.

I offer a different explanation, our health is a complete enterprise by itself and it requires all the necessary research, effort, construction, evaluation, transitions, and commitments. If you have ever made a plan to create a business or take decisive action or evaluate a problem in order to bring about a favorable result then you can fathom what your health care should mean to you. I recommend you begin to really invest your time and money on learning from unbiased educational sources about your body and mind’s health. Learn from others who truly have good health. You see there is a phenomenon where twins are totally different in their later years; one healthy and tall, the other seems 10 years older, there are children who never experienced diarrhea, allergies or ADD., women who do not suffer from osteoporosis, men who have a healthy heart, and more totally mind blowing facts.

Please do not dismiss this information as a natural event where some are blessed with great health no matter their lifestyle and others cursed with every illness in the book. All you have to do is do some real research and you'll discover your health is not automatically good or deficient; it is a constant flow of good habits based on correct information. I have met people who were healthy and strong for many years and ended up in the emergency room having quadruple heart bypass and people who keep being sent back home by the doctor who never seems to find anything wrong with them.

Please consider your health the most important asset, and become informed. No one wants bad health, but who is willing to make the long term investment?
